For a reception under a roof that is still open on every side, Ylang-Ylang is the one. It takes 100 to 150 beneath thatch carried on bamboo trusses, on a brick floor, with festoon lights strung along the eaves. Old trees stand close on all sides, so the light comes through green for most of the day.
The estate carries the rest of it. A preparation room to dress in, gardens on either side when your photographer wants to move, and an ocular visit to walk it before you commit. Ylang-Ylang is 277 square metres and starts at PHP 45,000.
